Logistics

You will be arriving to a beautiful location with four Units: Casita Roja, Unit 1, 2 & 3. Ceremony will take place at Unit 1, but you are welcome to use bathrooms at any Unit; except for the bathrooms directly connected to a bedroom.

Septic: Please note that the home has a septic system so it is very important that you do not flush anything other than septic safe toilet paper down the toilets. And if you are for any reason using the garbage disposal, please only use it for small pieces of soft food and discard larger food waste (i.e. vegetable peels, fruit, etc) in the trash. PLEASE DO NOT POUR ANY OIL OR GREASE DOWN THE SINK.

Grounds: You are welcome to explore the grounds if you'd like. Please note that only the area near the house is landscaped. If you would like to venture further out, we suggest you wear boots and pants. Also do not go out barefoot or allow children to do so as there may be debris that could be dangerous.

NOTE: Bugs and other Critters may be accompanying us. We would like to stress to guests that this is a country home and you will likely see bugs, lizards, bees and other critters :D

NO SMOKING: This is a non-smoking property and smoking (of any kind) is PROHIBITED anywhere inside or outside the property. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, pipes, etc.

THERMOSTATS: Please maintain the temperature of all thermostats at 70°F as they run on a boiler and it needs to stay consistent.

DAMAGE: Please note the home has furnishings, linens and decor that are original, antique and/or expensive to replace. Please use care and understand that any damage will be billed to Wendolyne directly.

How to dress up for this place?

While this is a great opportunity to wear that special outfit you’ve been saving, remember that July is hot in New Mexico, so we encourage you to dress comfortably.

Fun Fact: Green absorbs more heat than black!

Little Note: Neither Wend nor Luis mind if you wear white.

What to prepare for

This not a fancy event <3

If you are the type that like to plan ahead and would like to know what to expect in terms of outfit vs activities, shoes vs ground, make-up vs heat, etc.

Here are three little things that you need to know :

EAT & DRINK

We will have chairs for the small event to sit and be together next to a Zen garden. However, please feel free to sit anywhere else (on the floor, the rocks, or a garden chair) as long as you remain in togetherness. Drinks may spill and stain your clothing, as some will contain colorful fruits such as hibiscus or watermelon. Just a heads up – a splash of color might be an accidental part of the fun!

PLAY

Even though this is a ceremony that will begin and conclude with prayers, we love playfulness, so feel free to break the ice at any time!

We have a DJ from 8:00-9:00 p.m., to get us moving, and because Luis is a fantastic salsa dancer!

If you feel inspired, bring your dancing shoes, but be aware that the ground is rustic and mostly unpaved.

EXPLORE

Closing Circle: There will have a closing circle dynamic at 10:00 p.m.

Feel free to take a walk afterward and enjoy the silence of the area.

We invite all attendees to exit the space in silence and respectfully.

If you are a guest staying at one of the units, join us for a more intimate circle at Unit 1 after 10:00 p.m.
